gem5 - SPEC CPU2006 profile

I ran SPEC CPU2006 benchmarks on gem5 simulator.
I'd like to share log-by-log profiling results in this article.
For additional information on running SPEC CPU2006 on gem5, please refer to this article of gem5 website.

The computer I used is:

  • Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 CPU 870 @ 2.93GHz
  • 8G Memory

bzip2

  • gem5 command:
    ./build/X86_MESI_CMP_directory/gem5.fast configs/example/se.py --mem-size=4GB --bench=bzip2_program
  • SPEC command:
    bzip2 input.program 1
  • Profile summary:
    Number of instructions simulated: 1,867,596,898
